Welcome to Community Essence!

 

Community Essence emerged in 2012, after consultation with the community. The group was constituted and started creating opportunities for people for variety of activities, gaining learning as they do.

 

Community Essence provides services for communities locally in and around Stockport. The Hub supports Edgeley and the wider Stockport borough to become a vibrant, inclusive and essentially a focus for the local community engagement and learning.

 

Our Aim is to Improve the Quality of Life of Residents and Promote Wellness within the Locality 

 

We have organised and run a variety of projects which aim to bring the community together and for individuals to learn and develop their skills.

 

Our projects are:

• Box It Out Boxercise session

• Hearing Voices forum

• Songbird - 2 singing classes, one for adults and one for children

• Forever Flowers - flower arranging club

• Golden Pages writing club

• Arty - arts and crafts

• Knit and Crochet group

• Seamless Sewing class

• Tai Chi

• Development Class

• Little Cherubs - pre-school, babies and toddlers group

• Healthy Hips and Hearts

• Keep Fit
